The Hanoi Youth Union, the Vietnamese Student Association of Hanoi City collaborated with the Hubmeta Institute for Digital Transformation and Smart Governance and the international consulting company enCity to implement the project “Hanoi – the future city” including the website interactive with Hanoi map and virtual reality (VR) technology exhibition.

On the interactive map, more than 16,000 young people and students can arrange their own icons on the Hanoi map that have been clearly classified by each district. Just 5 seconds, with simple operations on the computer or with 1 smartphone, you can add works represented by icons (icons). Each icon is a dream that conveys: a startup area for students, a youth art area, a creative playground or a monumental stadium for the Vietnamese team to participate in the World Cup… The representative of the Hanoi Youth Union said that the collected ideas will be used to build 3D perspective and exhibit virtual reality technology (VR – Virtual Reality) at the event of the Hanoi Communist Youth Union Congress at the end of September. next, with the theme “Hanoi the city of the future”.

The website “Hanoi 2045” at Hanoi2045.vn is address where each young person and student of the Capital can directly contribute ideas to envision the future for Hanoi city. This is a project to celebrate the anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital on October 10th and the Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union – Hanoi city for the term 2022-2027.

The interactive map website on the vision of future capital planning is an idea proposed by Hubmeta and enCity (a planning idea consultant for Thu Duc City in Ho Chi Minh City) to listen to people’s opinions, specifically students and young people through an interactive technology website system. In 2021, enCity and its partners in the US also built an online planning information and survey website for the people of Thu Duc City to contribute ideas to the city’s general planning project. Using technology to interact with people about urban planning and development has been applied by many countries around the world so that people can give their voice and contribute to building the future of where they live.
