Recently, Hanoi City and departments, branches and localities have paid attention to and implemented many solutions and activities to support craft villages, OCOP subjects in product development through industrial promotions, Trade and tourism promotion. However, the output of craft village products, OCOP products still face many difficulties. The reason is that in the context of the economy, especially when the export market, the purchasing power of the domestic market, production and business activities tend to slow down.
At the end of 2023, Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade recognized 10 models of creative design, introduction, promotion and sale of OCOP products, craft villages associated with tourism in the communes: Bat Trang (Gia Lam district) , Chuyen My (Phu Xuyen district), Phu Nghia (Chuong My district) …
The goal of these centers is to improve the value of handicraft products, OCOP, trade villages, build links from creative design, production, processing to consumption of products on the conservation platform. , promoting the traditional cultural values of craft villages associated with community tourism, agricultural and rural tourism in the circulating economy.

Need to be upgraded and created landscapes to attract tourists

According to the Chairman of the Phu Vinh Bamboo and Rattan Village Association Nguyen Van Trung, due to limited facilities, so since the recognition, the center has not welcomed many visitors and experienced as expected.
Director of Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Dai said that in 2024, the city set a recognition target from 5 to 10 models of creative design, introduction, promotion and sale of OCOP products, craft villages with attachment with tourism in districts and towns. In order to promote the effectiveness of the centers, after the city recognizes, it is necessary to increase investment and upgrade on the existing infrastructure as well as well the management and operation.
According to the Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) Nguyen Minh Tien, Hanoi has not fully exploited the potential of craft villages. The city needs to upgrade and renovate the landscape of traditional craft villages, handle well the problem of environmental pollution to be able to develop tourism. If done well, Hanoi can turn 327 trade villages and traditional craft villages into 327 unique tourist destinations of the Capital.
