20-Year celebaration ceremony of Hanoi to receive the “City of Piece”

Hanoi is the only city in the Asia-Pacific region to be awarded the “City for Peace” by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It is a recognition and appreciation of the values ​​of historical and cultural traditions, achievements of the renewal career, as well as the aspirations for peace of Hanoi Capital people.

The rally took place at 07:00 on July 13, 2019 – Saturday (at Ly Thai To Flower Garden with the participation of central delegates, Hanoi city, UNESCO international delegate and in Vietnam, Ambassador , international organizations and diplomatic delegations in some countries in Hanoi and mobilized about 10,000 people to participate in peace walks in combination with street festivals with the masses: folklore, village block, and fitness block contemporary art and art … creating a colorful picture of Hanoi is a place of cultural convergence and Hanoi – City for peace, the destination of cooperation, friendship and peace.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Central and Hanoi City implemented the ceremony of launching the Creative City website – “hanoicreativecity.com”; at the same time participating in the release of pigeons with a message of expressing a desire for peace and prosperity.
