The project “Introduction and performance of plays adapted from famous literary works of Vietnam and the world included in the general education program at schools in Hanoi city in the period of 2022-2030 ” approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee has created new creative inspirations throughout the capital’s stages. Art theaters are eager to bring characters and stories from textbooks onto the stage.

These days, the Hanoi Drama Theater is actively rehearsing the play “Spirit of Gymnastics” adapted from the short story of the same name by writer Nguyen Cong Hoan, scripted and directed by People’s Artist Trung Hieu. The play neutralizes the witty, humorous and poignant features of the work aimed at attacking the corrupt feudal colonial regime. Adapted from the work “Chi Pheo” by writer Nam Cao, the play “Kite of Vu Dai village” by the Hanoi Cheo Theater which was just released to the audience in April, has made an impression on the audience in the capital. The play was staged with the intention of participating in the city’s project, directed by the excellent artist Le Tuan, skillfully integrating the tragic and humorous qualities so that the audience could blend into the story and absorb the message. The theater is also launching the play “The story of the Bom” aimed at elementary students and is expected to be released on the occasion of the International Children’s Day 1-6. Along with that, the theater also prepared excerpts from cheo play “Quan Am Thi Kinh” or plays adapted from fairy tales “Thach Sanh”, “Tam Cam”… to participate in the project.

For many years now, Le Ngoc Theater – the leading socialized art unit of the Capital, has had many plays adapted from works in popular textbooks. Also inspired by the work “Chi Pheo” of writer Nam Cao, the play “Thi No – Chi Pheo” of this unit performed 200 consecutive “sold-out” performances. Le Ngoc stage also has the play “De Men”, “Tam Cam” and the latest is the play “Vang ball for a while” with the center being the work “The word of the death row inmate”, which is well done and suitable for the audience. born.

Thang Long Puppet Theater is also readying two plays from the fairy tale “Tam Cam”, “Thach Sanh” to serve the schools. Hanoi Cai Luong Theater, Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater are planning to stage new and restore many plays inspired by literary works in textbooks.

As one of the initiators and active participants in the construction of this project of the city, People’s Artist Trung Hieu, Director of the Hanoi Drama Theater shared, the implementation of the project creates an open form of learning. , attractive to students.
