Businesses contribute to reviving the appearance and quality of urban life

Training programs focused on building urban spaces in the modern context, directing the production of green materials for sustainable living spaces, designing and developing public spaces, and expanding cultural and creative spaces… Vietnamese businesses are gradually contributing to the revitalization of urban appearances and quality of life through diverse and meaningful activities.

RAISING AWARENESS

The training programs aim to provide knowledge about “urban rejuvenation” and create opportunities for young architects to access and raise awareness about designs that improve the quality of living spaces, and create friendly and sustainable environments. Green architecture and sustainable architecture, which help “rejuvenate” urban spaces, have become key topics in programs and courses for architecture students.

The in-depth seminars, taught by reputable experts and architects, cover topics on architecture and design, such as: Architecture and Design – Approaches to Sustainability in the LIXIL Talent Match 2023 Program, contributing to raising students’ awareness of sustainable urban space development.

Mr. Uchidate Katsuaki, CEO of LIXIL Vietnam and representative of the LIXIL Talent Match organizing committee, shared: “Addressing environmental challenges, developing sustainable urbanization, and building smart cities are current development trends. The younger generation of architects, especially students, plays an increasingly important role as they are directly involved in shaping and developing future cities. Through specialized training programs, we hope that young architects will enhance their awareness and experience of urban rejuvenation, contributing ideas and efforts to positively transform urban spaces for a future of high-quality living environments for everyone.”

CONTRIBUTING TO URBAN DEVELOPMENT

Contributing to the revitalization of urban vitality, businesses actively participate in professional workshops, sharing knowledge and experience.

The Vietnam Green Building Week 2023, with the theme “Developing Green Buildings to Promote the Green Transition in the Construction Industry: Opportunities and Challenges,” gathered over 1,000 policymakers, experts, and leaders from architecture, interior design, and construction businesses. During the event, company representatives provided important insights and pledged to support the construction industry in its green transition to achieve the national goal of NET ZERO CARBON by 2050.

The roundtable discussion on the theme “Sustainable Development and Beyond,” hosted by the English-language electronic publication The Saigon Times on November 15, 2023, attracted a large number of business representatives who shared solutions related to real estate and building materials aimed at achieving sustainable urban development.

Businesses demonstrated their concern and actions in updating new trends in architecture and interior design aligned with the goal of improving human health and achieving net-zero carbon emissions. These efforts contribute to positively transforming urban spaces and enhancing the quality of living environments.

The LIXIL ALP 2023-2024 Program, organized by LIXIL Vietnam, contributes to rejuvenating and regenerating sustainable urban areas, providing a platform for architecture and design firms to research solutions for “urban rejuvenation” and building the “Future of Living Spaces in Vietnam.” The architectural and design proposals researched by five companies in the LIXIL ALP 2023-2024 Program address various issues, including: transforming industrial land into creative cultural spaces, developing green spaces, public areas from polluted zones, designing homes in “in-between spaces,” and developing urban areas for low-income residents. These solutions reflect a vision that meets practical community values, contributing to building and developing healthier, safer, and higher-quality living environments for Vietnamese people.
