DAI THE LIGHT INSTALLATION SPACE- A MAGICAL CONNECTION
Located in the heart of the Center for Culture and Arts at 22 Hang Buom, the light installation space “Dai The” is an art exhibition that anyone who visits here is attracted by its surprised “functional” beauty.

“Dai The” is a work that was first exhibited at the “Xem Dem (Watch the Night)” exhibition in Manzi in the summer of 2020. The work was inspired by field trips of Tay and Dao ceremonies by Architect Nguyen Ha (ARB Architecture Company) and artist Nguyen Duc Phuong (Phuong Giò). The appearance of the “thẻ (cards)” is reminiscent of the Khảo Cán or Lệnh bài of the priests – a passport for the priests to connect them with god.

Thẻ (cards) were contemplated by the two artists, “Our understanding of a powerful, divine concept as a collection of thoughts floating in the real world, illuminates only the very essence of the priests who hold it.”

Returning to the 22 Hang Buom – The Center for Culture and Arts in the winter of 2021, “Dai The” has made a mark on the entire 22 Hang Buom space, drawing the attention of visitors.
A special feature in this comeback of the exhibition is the “glowing” cards, evoking a feeling of both ancient and new, which has opened a mystical connection between heaven and earth, harmonious in the space of intersection between East and West, between tradition and modernity at the Center for Culture and Arts.

In the center of the assembly hall in a special style of glass door architecture, the exhibition “Dai The” has brought the “function” of an expensive background, creating an indelible highlight for the event programs taking place here.
