“Is plastics our world or are we the world of plastics?”
This is the message brought by artists from Tòhe through their works to evoke thoughts about the value of plastics – originally an important invention of humanity. Excessive plastic use has caused negative consequences to our living environment.
Six giant artworks made from tens of thousands of used plastic materials are being displayed in the exhibition “Plastic Planet” at Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA), bringing the message of raising awareness regarding plastic usage to limit its negative impacts on the environment.
The artwork “Vortex” (4.5m high) is assembled from hundreds of used plastic materials.
From actual observation of the living environment filled with plastics, the artists created a world in which natural elements such as soil, water, and wind were “plasticized” into straw fields and nylon ocean, …

“Comfort Zone” is an installation using paintings by young artists, including those of children with autism
Through tens of thousands of used plastic materials, collected and contributed from everywhere, the exhibition opens unlimited views of life and of the relationship between human and nature, between people and people, and between people and themselves, in which plastics is an inherent part which cannot be denied. From that, encouraging the public to limit the consumption of disposable plastics, become more conscious in using plastics and cherish our living environment.

The artwork “Secret Box” – where the audience can experience their own interpretation of the world through multiple senses.
The exhibition is open to public from June 21, 2019 to August, 18, 2019 at Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA), located at B1 – R3, Vincom Mega Mall Royal City (72A Nguyễn Trãi, Thanh Xuân District, Hanoi).
