At the conference briefing the first 6 months of the year, implementing the key tasks to the end of 2022 of the Steering Committee of the Program No. 03-CTr/TU of the City Committee on “Urban embellishment, development and economy in the period of 2021 – 2025″, Standing member of Program Steering Committee No. 03-CTr/TU, Director of Hanoi Department of Construction Vo Nguyen Phong reported the results of the first 6 months of 2022.

Specifically, in the implementation of the target of “Renovating 20 villas, 10 valuable architectural works built before 1954”, the Steering Committee directed the Hanoi Construction Department, Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture to evaluate and select 30 old villas under the city’s management, 50 old villas under the Central Government’s management and 12 valuable architectural works built before 1954 for inclusion in the list of embellishment and conservation; developing plans to renovate villas in the city…
It is known that in the list of old villas built before 1954 published by the Hanoi People’s Committee in June 2022, Hanoi has 1,216 old villas divided into 3 groups: group 1 includes 222 villas; group 2: 356 villas and group 3: 638 villas. These villas are under the management according to the Regulations on Managing and using old villas built before 1954 in the city.
With the list of 222 villas ranked in group 1, Ba Dinh district has the largest number of villas with 111 villas, Hoan Kiem district has 87 villas, Hai Ba Trung district has 21 villas and Tay Ho district has 3 villas.
Among the 356 villas ranked in group 2, Hoan Kiem district has 159 villas, Ba Dinh district has 112 villas, Hai Ba Trung district has 78 villas, Tay Ho district has 4 villas; Dong Da district has 3 villas.
And 638 villas ranked in group 3, Hoan Kiem district has 237 villas, Ba Dinh district has 216 villas, Hai Ba Trung district has 166 villas, Dong Da district has 13 villas; Tay Ho district has 6 villas.
Based on the Regulations on Managing and using old villas built before 1954 in the city, all villas listed in the management list are not allowed to be demolished arbitrarily.
