HANOI INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE DEMONSTRATION 2022

On the evening of November 12, 2022, at Ly Thai To Monument, took place the Intangible Cultural Heritage Demonstration Festival. The program is within the framework of the Hanoi Creative and Design Festival 2022.

The evet provides unique intangible cultural performances of many traditional Vietnamese art forms, performed by clubs and artists in Hanoi. The performance festival was well received by the audience.

Hanoi Intangible Cultural Heritage Demonstration Festival 2022 gathered a variety of typical folk performing arts of Thang Long – Hanoi with thousand years of civilization, such as: Xam, Ca Tru, Cheo singing … Each type of art is a spiritual product, having historical, cultural, and scientific value and expressing the identity of the community being reproduced and passed on from generation to generation.

12 intangible cultural heritage clubs participating in the festival are holding and transmitting heritages in the community, including: Thang Long drum club; UNESCO Hanoi Traditional Music Club; Thanh Xuan Traditional Art Club; Tuong Club in Xuan Non Commune, Dong Anh District; Ca Tru Lo Khe Club, Dong Anh District; Cheo singing club in Tri Trung commune, Phu Xuyen district; Tam Viet Xam Club; Bac Ha Xam Club; Xam 48h Club; Xam Thang Long Club; Xam of Nghe’s vi giam singing Club, Traditional five flap tunic Support Center – Dinh Lang Viet Club.

Within the framework of the festival, there was also a performance of five flap tunic by the Dinh Lang Viet Club. With the theme “Hà Nội phố (Streets of Hanoi)”, the program introduces five flap ao dai with long-sleeved for men, combined with modern art works, bringing traditional costumes closer to contemporary life.

Hanoi Intangible Cultural Heritage Demonstration Festival – 2022 is an opportunity to widely introduce to the public and visitors about these unique heritage values, thereby raising the sense of responsibility for preserving and promoting heritage in community life.
