“ILLUSTRATING TEMPLE OF LITERATURE”

On the 5th of January, the judging session of the ‘Illustrating Temple of Literature’ contest was held at the special national site Temple of Literature.

The judging committee consists of Dr. Le Xuan Kieu – Head of the Cultural and Scientific Activity Center Temple of Literature; Mr. Dao Quoc Huy – Vice President of Art Council, Fine Arts Association Vietnam; Dr. Tran Hau Yen The – Lecturer of Vietnam University of Fine Art; Doctor-Architect Nguyen Cao Lanh – Head of the Architecture and Urban planning Department of National University of Civil Engineering; M.A Truong Quoc Toan – Assistant Manager of International Cooperation Support Office of Paris in Vietnam; Doctor-Architect Emmanuel Cerise – Head of International Cooperation Support Office of Paris in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh – Artist, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, Head of the Culture Department of UNESCO in Vietnam.

The contest organized by Cultural and Scientific Activity Center Temple of Literature in collaboration with National University of Civil Engineering Hanoi was held from 03/12 to 21/12/2020, aiming at art and architecture students in training, especially ones who is enrolled in National University of Civil Engineering Hanoi, Hanoi University of Architecture, Hanoi Open University and Vietnam University of Fine Art.

Entries expressed many different perspective on structures, artifacts, landscape, ect. of Temple of Literature with various drawing mediums like ink, watercolore, ect.

The judging committee had worked unbiasedly, strictly followed the criteria and the contest’s guideline to choose the most outstanding entries to award.
