Opportunities for creative Vietnamese artists, winning great prizes
The contest is implemented by UOB Vietnam Bank. The organizers received the entrance exam from May 7 to the end of August 1, 2024. The entrance works are original works composed in the past 2 years. The contest is sent in the form of digital shooting via the website. The authors can view detailed information about the contest and how to attend at uoBandart.com.
The jury consists of famous artists of Vietnam Fine Arts. It is Chairman of Vietnam Fine Arts Association Luong Xuan Doan, art advisor; Chairman of the Art Council (Vietnam Fine Arts Association) Dang Xuan Hoa is the head of the jury and two artists Trinh Tuan and Nguyen Thi Chau Giang. The Council will select the winning works based on the following criteria: Message, creativity, layout and technology. The awards and exhibitions of the best paintings will take place in Ho Chi Minh City in October 2024.
The competition has 2 award categories: “Artist Thanh Danh” and “Promise Artist”. The contest will take place in the coordinates of painting in Hanoi and Hue
Artist Dang Xuan Hoa, Head of the jury shared, he was a judge of the UOB competition in Singapore more than 10 years ago. This contest in our country will be a good opportunity for artists, especially young artists showing all new thinking and modern art style. Vietnamese artists need to have new creative thinking, modern, stylish, personality, and unique identity originating from the cultural tradition and national soul. He also hoped that the 2nd competition will receive many excellent works, helping Vietnamese art to register and have a special impression in the region.
The first contest in Vietnam in 2023 honored 8 talented artists. In particular, the highest award was given to artist Trinh Minh Tien with the work “Thuy Phu”; The award “The most promising artist” belongs to artist Ta Duy Tung with the work “on the road”.
The symbol of this year’s competition is inspired by the UOB winning artwork in Southeast Asia in 2023 by Pratchaya Charernsook (Thailand) called “Cua River Chumphon”, talking about threats caused by micro -plastic Causing with human life, requiring solutions to protect the global ecosystem …/.
