PAVILION CREATIVE GATE

Pavilion Creative Gate presents for Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2022 designed by architect Le Quang Thach and completed by AVALO furniture company.

Created from the concept of “Trời tròn đất vuông”, Pavilion Creative Gate – Connection Gate is an architectural language to express the connection between tradition and science and technology, the past and the future, aspiration and reality, Hanoi and the world, art and people.

The location of the Creative Gate is Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, which is a roundabout of 5 streets, so people often tend to pass by and forget the emotional views. Therefore, the pavilion is designed as a place to stop to taking a rest, to feel the beauty of Sword Lake in a way that is both familiar and strange.

With the desire to share national identity with the five-continent community, the project is mainly used as traditional materials. 80 parallel columns can provide motion effects as the viewer moves. The architecture of the pavilion is symbolic that is a gate to create a connection, but not to step through. Hopefully, the project will create nostalgia and bring many beautiful angles for visitors.

People can check-in at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square under an unusual image, can touch the top of the fountain’s water, can sit and rest and enjoy the view of Sword Lake at an unprecedented perspective.

The project uses 100% traditional products as materials. It takes the form of a gate to provoke our thinking. The project is chaired and designed by architect Le Quang Thach in a contemporary style.
