The School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts launches 3 new training programs

Three newly launched training programs include 1 master’s program and 2 undergraduate programs.

On May 15, the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University) held a decision to appoint leaders of affiliated units and launch a new training program in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor,  Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Principal of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University) said: The decision to change the model and reorganize the Faculty Interdisciplinary studies into the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts marked a change in the quality of a training organization. Over the past time, the school’s staff, workers and students have made tireless efforts, racing against time to prepare the best conditions to quickly adapt to the new organizational model. Today’s ceremony marks the completion of the organizational preparation process for the official operation of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts in accordance with the organizational structure and assigned functions and tasks.

On the basis of the 5 old subject groups, the school reorganized into 4 affiliated Faculties including: Faculty of Cultural Industries and Heritage; Faculty of Art and Design; Faculty of Management and Creative Economy; Faculty of Urban Architecture and Sustainable Science. This is also representative of the school’s core training majors from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. The faculties gather a team of highly qualified lecturers trained domestically and internationally.

Three newly launched training programs include 1 master’s program and 2 undergraduate programs.

Specifically, the Master’s Program in Creative Cultural Industries is the first master’s program in cultural and creative industries in Vietnam, aiming to provide comprehensive interdisciplinary knowledge training, with the pillars of knowledge about creativity, culture, policy, copyright, technology, communications, business administration… Along with skills to apply knowledge in developing business models and startups; develop, implement, and evaluate development projects and programs; Mobilize the participation of many stakeholders and coordinate resources in practical activities of creative cultural industries.

Next, the Architecture and Landscape Design training program is the first program in Vietnam built with an interdisciplinary approach of Art – Technology – Social Culture. The program aims to provide human resources with creative thinking, interdisciplinary approach, technological capacity and social responsibility for management and construction design activities. In particular, after 5 years of training, learners are awarded an architect degree specializing in Architecture and Landscape Design.

The Bachelor of Visual Arts program includes two majors: Art Photography and Contemporary Visual Arts, which will impart core knowledge, from theory to practice; Promote creativity and interdisciplinary thinking. During the learning process, students will carry out a system of integrated and hands-on projects at the artist’s studio; Participate in art projects and creative events. Students not only practice their profession but are also artists capable of evaluating and analyzing new artistic languages ​​emerging in the contemporary art ecosystem, capable of curating, criticizing, and evaluating appreciation of art through specific projects and lessons.

In addition to the three newly launched training programs, the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University) is currently implementing many training programs in fields that are ahead of trends at the university level such as: Management brand management; Entertainment and event management; Smart and sustainable urban governance; Heritage resource management; Creative design (majors: Fashion and creativity; Digital technology graphics; Sustainable interior design)./.
