
SEMINAR ON PROMOTING OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN HANOI
From 23/09/2022 to 24/09/2022, at 282 Workshop, No. 156 Phu Vien, Bo De, Long Bien, Hanoi, there was a series of seminars “Industrial Heritage Reconstruction 2022 – Innovation & Sustainability” to promote opportunities for the development of industrial heritage reconstruction projects in the context that Hanoi city officially decided to relocate 9 old industrial facilities marking many cultural and technological values.
The event included 02 seminars: “Discussing the innovative and sustainable transformation plans for 09 facilities in Hanoi and creating opportunities for multi-stakeholder cooperation” and “Design, construction and sustainable operation of industrial heritage reconstruction projects in Vietnam” lasting from 23/09-24/09/2022.
Through the sharing of experiences between experts from Europe and Vietnam, the program is expected to enhance the identification of industrial heritage as a resource contributing to the creation of the region’s own cultural identity, while enhancing the ability to practice creativity in conservation, design and planning of industrial heritage in Vietnam.
The seminar series was supported by the Franco-German Cultural Fund, the Goethe-Institut, the French Institute, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the British Council in Vietnam, UNESCO Viet Nam, the Delegation of the European Union in Vietnam in collaboration with Vietnam Sustainable Social Enterprise VSSE, Hanoi University of Architecture and 282 Workshops. The program also has the support of organizations: For a Livable Hanoi, Hanoi Ad Hoc and Heritage Space.
