BRING THE INANIMATE WALLS IN THE OUTSKIRT OF HANOI TO LIFE

According to Kintedothi News, recently, many commuters passing through the Phung bridge to Tam Hiep commune, Phuc Tho district, Hanoi, are surprised as this road has had an eye-catching new appearance.

The wall-painting road is 2 kilometres long

The 2 kilometres wall-painting along the road is one of the works to celebrate the 21st  Congress of the Communist Party of Phuc Tho in the term 2020 – 2025.  The fresco has been completed at 70%.  After finishing, this will be the longest fresco in Hanoi.

For beautifying the road, a group of more than ten artists, have been working hard.  Painter Tran Van Nam, the group leader, said that they had to work in difficulties because of the scorching weather; and added that but thanks to the high temperature, the paintings dried out very quickly, which ensured the vibrant, fresh colours.

Each picture conveys its own theme.

The artist group bring the inanimate old dusty walls to life.  The old walls become profoundly expressive paintings.

Phuc Tho district authorities selected the paintings on paper and then commissioned the artists to paint on the walls along the road. The themes of each painting associated with local history.  Each painting measuring in a length of 5 meters and a height of 1.4 meters. Together they depicted the vibrant life in the countryside.

Although each painting has a different theme, in the end, all meant to communicate the history, the landscape and the people of Phuc Tho district and their journey to build more modern countryside.

As the work is being executed in the summer heat, Phuc Tho district resident erected a canvas roof to protect the artists from the heat and ensure their safety.
