VINCOM CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY ART (VCCA) A BRIDGE TO HELP ART APPROACH THE PUBLIC
Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA), Located underground with a total area of nearly 4,000m2, is a non-profit center developed and sponsored by Vingroup JSC, with a mission to connect artists to the community, artworks to Beauty lovers, and Vietnamese contemporary art to the global art scene. Equipped with infrastructure and facilities of international standards, since VCCA launched in July 2017, a wind of change was blowing through contemporary art space. VCCA develops on the basis of diverse artistic activities and attracts both domestic and international artistic talents.
The first good impression when coming to VCCA is the front side, which is a large glass window display developing the feeling of closeness of the public to the artworks. This structure is a unique creation and makes the center different from other museums, exhibition centers. This friendly approach is like blurring the gap between all walks of life who come to learn the art. Flooded with natural light coming through the sunroof, the main exhibition area has impressive Skydome with an area of 1700m2 in simple rectangular shapes and a flexible space for each event. The center space is the ideal gallery for artworks fully expressing the message of art, the personality, and the ideology of the artists. There is also the community activity area with functional rooms for periodic activities such as art creation with artists, art exchange and education, film screening, etc. The contemporary spirit is present everywhere in this Vincom artistic center; It not only appears in luxurious minimalist architecture in black and white but also is the subtle event managements. Both famous artists and promising young artists, contributing to the development of contemporary art in Vietnam, are honored at the Center.

VCCA’s main focus in operation is the Vincom Art Development Fund, which has three main objectives: Invest in conservation, museums for the collection and preservation of Vietnamese cultural and artistic heritage and valuable artworks of history, art…; Produce a space for artists to exhibit their works in the form of professional art business; Make a collection of valuable artworks in Vietnam. Under the guidance of famous Vietnamese and international artists on the Executive Board and Advisory Council, VCCA promises to be the region’s perspective contemporary art center in the future.
It is said that the quantity and quality of museums in one place represent the level of wealth in the spiritual life of the people there. With all that is existing, it is undeniable that VCCA has contributed to spreading the love and inspiration of art to improve the spiritual life of people in Hanoi and across the country in general.
