VPBank K-Star Spark 2025: KPop’s legends return as Vietnam rises on the global festival circuit

On June 21, 2025, K-Pop sensation G-Dragon headlined the VPBank K-Star Spark Mega Concert, electrifying over 40,000 fans at Mỹ Đình National Stadium. Joined by other top-tier artists, the event, organized by Ravolution Asia, underscored Vietnam’s rising status as a destination for global music tours.

The lineup included G-DRAGON – leader of the group BIGBANG coming back after 13 years; CL – rapper and former leader of 2NE1; and DPR IAN (Christian Yu) of Dream Perfect Regime. They performed alongside fourth-generation boy group – Tempest and GenZ girls – tripleS known as the world’s first decentralized K-pop idol group. The show opened with Vietnamese artist Quang Hùng MasterD performing two of his hits namely “Đừng khóc một mình” and “Thủy triều.”

Tickets were sold exclusively by Ravolution Asia via CTicket, opening on May 20 and selling out within two days. VISA partnered as the official payment provider.

The days before the concert, Hanoi was filled with visuals promoting the event, from green-branded buses to banners and digital billboards. Vietnamese fan communities contributed with activities including photo areas, 2-meter mascots, street banners, and outdoor LED displays running 120 times per day at Vincom Bà Triệu to welcome CL back to Vietnam.

Beyond the music, the event became a space for personal expression through fashion inspired by their idols’ style. Symbols associated with G-Dragon, such as the daisy motif with missing petals and bandanas, were commonly seen among fans at the VPBank concert.
