This is the most favorite work of the Opera art form, despite the initial shocking the audience for breaking the usual conventions.
Vietnam Drama Music Theater (VNOB) will officially launch the most popular opera in the world called “Carmen” on the evening of March 14-16 at the Hanoi Opera House. This is the next play of the Theater after the success of “The miserable people” with the desire to bring the audience to the truly peak opera art with attractive and modern choreography.
“Carmen” is an opera of the famous French composer – Georges Bize. This is the most favorite work of the Opera art, although originally shocked the audience because of breaking conventions and expectations. The play was set in Spain, telling the story of a woman named Carmen who was passionate, entangled in the tragedy when meeting Don José – a military core is looking for love.
“Carmen” was performed by Vietnam Drama Theater in 120 minutes, keeping the value of a classic work but has a modern innovation. The audience will experience the vibrant blending of the original Kiet in the context of a pub of the 21st century with the charming tap dance dance, youthful rhythm of K-pop. Colorful costumes, vibrant choreography contribute to the richness of the image for the work.
The play has a smooth coordination between the famous, experienced artist such as Meritorious Artist Huy Duc, Mezzo Soprano’s voice (Lyrical female voice) Huong Diep, Terno’s voice (high voice) of Mr. Vu … and the youth of Lan Nhung – First Prize, Truong Linh – Second Prize in the auditorium – Musical – Choir singing contest 2023. Along with the participation of famous ballet artists Nhu Duc Hieu – First Prize in the 2022 Dance Talent Contest … The play also has the participation of Hanoi Voices International Chorus.
