Hanoi: Supporting students to start businesses and innovate

The conference aimed to concretize the role of the Capital’s youth in implementing Program No. 07-CTr/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on “Promoting the development of science, technology and innovation in the area.” Hanoi city in the period 2021-2025″, especially in the context of strong development of the digital economy and knowledge economy in the fourth industrial revolution.

Recently, the City’s Youth Union – Vietnamese Student Association has actively implemented 5 projects to organize activities to concretize Program No. 07- CTr/TU of the City Party Committee with many rich contents.

Notably, a series of 8 seminars commercializing core technologies applying digital transformation in various fields attracted more than 2,000 officials, lecturers, researchers and students to attend.

In addition, there are startup challenge competitions organized on a large scale and professionally at the grassroots and city levels to create an annual, useful startup playground for students; Encourage scientific and technological research associated with practical applications; enhance connections and exchanges with investors and businesses; increase opportunities for commercialization and promote excellent and highly feasible startup projects.

In May, the City Youth Union – the City’s Vietnamese Student Association coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology to organize the Smart Creative City competition (Startup City), with the aim of bringing ideas to improve innovation. high quality of life, comprehensive innovation in creativity, technical construction, and infrastructure to build a smart capital.

With the theme “Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students associated with the development of Hanoi Capital and the Red River Delta region”, at the conference, entrepreneurs, managers, and experts presented exchange and share new thinking and new visions on innovation and entrepreneurship trends.

Delegates also said that students need to determine their own abilities to develop their abilities and realize their ideas; Find your strengths to start a business and have the passion to overcome difficulties when unfortunately failing; At the same time, delegates also offered support solutions to motivate, inspire, and spread the desire for entrepreneurship and innovation among students in the Capital.
