Art Exhibition “Out of Orbit”: Doodle Art – Illuminating the Inner World from the Simplest Things
June 2025 – Young artist Hoàng Anh Trung and Mơ Art Space introduce the “Out of Orbit” exhibition, inviting the public into a pure, poetic, colorful, and unconventional inner world expressed through every doodle stroke. This event also marks a significant milestone in the career of artist Hoàng Anh Trung.

Opening the Door to an Emotionally Rich Imaginary World
From artist Hoàng Anh Trung’s profound concept of building a personal imaginary world, the “Out of Orbit” exhibition presents images created by the artist – it is his “spiritual home” where he resides and grows with his creations. This is the first time he publicly introduces this private artistic world and invites the public to admire and experience it together.
Mơ Art Space describes “Out of Orbit” as a vibrant space, constantly moving and maturing. The exhibition is not a “closed statement” but an “open dialogue,” where the artist and the public together preserve moments in an unending creative flow. Artist Hoàng Anh Trung brings 55 works completed in the past three years.

Artist Hoàng Anh Trung shared: “Through this solo exhibition, I want to share my world with everyone. And I hope that, somewhere in that world, people will encounter their inner children, still very innocent and pure, wishing to go out and play with others.”
Feeling Beauty in Imperfect Doodle Strokes Born in 1997 in Hanoi, Hoàng Anh Trung is a young face in the art scene with a unique perspective and style. Although formally trained in architecture, he chose the path of free creation with doodle art. With him, far beyond a drawing technique, doodle is how he explores his personal philosophy of life – by embracing imperfection in his strokes, he freely expresses himself most authentically, without constraint.
The works displayed in “Out of Orbit” are inspired by childhood memories and simple daily details. These include familiar cartoon characters, old comic strips, nostalgic snacks, or distinctive architectural motifs and Vietnamese folk cultural symbols such as: carp, mouse weddings, Nghê statues, water puppetry… All are subtly integrated by him, creating a visual language that is intimate yet profound. This creative perspective, closely tied to everyday aesthetics, reflects the artist’s instinctive need: art as a means to feel and illuminate what is happening in life.
Contributing to Defining Doodle Art in Vietnam Artist Hoàng Anh Trung recognizes that although doodle art has a certain position internationally, the playground for enthusiasts of this style in Vietnam is still limited. Doodle art currently floats on the boundary between (Fine Art) formal art and Graffiti (street art). From that, the “Out of Orbit” exhibition also carries a greater meaning for the doodle art community in Vietnam, serving as an affirmation of this discipline’s value contribution to the map of contemporary Vietnamese art.

Hoàng Anh Trung expressed: “I truly hope this time will open up more opportunities for young people pursuing doodle art, so that they can be known, heard, and cared for more by the public.”
“Out of Orbit” marks the first time artist Hoàng Anh Trung officially “meets” the art-loving public. The exhibition invites each of us to rediscover our inner innocence, and at the same time, explore how art can illuminate life from the simplest things. Come to Mơ Art Space to experience this unique exhibition and feel the heartfelt sharing from the artist, contributing to spreading the love of art to the community.
