“Have you met Tuan Pham?” in a world full of spontaneous emotions?
Starting with a question mark (?)—by coming to the painting exhibition “Have You Met Tuan Pham?” at The Muse Artspace alongside Ka Koncept, you will be invited to step into the artistic world of Tuan Pham—where watercolors do not dissolve into ambiguity, but gather into regions of emotion, painting the delicate boundaries of the mind. The seemingly placid color blocks are, in fact, holding back countless difficult-to-name vibrations.

“Have You Met Tuan Pham?” is a sincere invitation to step into a world where you don’t need profound knowledge of painting or noisy interpretations. You just need to stand still, gaze, and listen to the voice of your own heart. Perhaps somewhere in the paintings, you will see a part of yourself: feeling weary, spinning, struggling to find your way, or rearranging… And who knows, a very peaceful part of you—is still waiting to be named.
The exhibition “Have You Met Tuan Pham?” showcases a very unique style of using watercolor. Instead of letting the colors randomly bleed out, Tuan Pham uses watercolor to gather and define emotions. His works stand out with warm color blocks like orange, yellow, and red, evoking bright realms of memory. A special highlight in the paintings is the image of a small square that appears repeatedly. According to the artist, this square symbolizes the “Box of the Mind”—where he stores his private feelings, those he doesn’t want to express in words. This is a profound metaphorical symbol that helps viewers easily find empathy with the artwork.
Tuan Pham shared: “To me, watercolor is like breath, gentle, free, and slightly spontaneous. It doesn’t require complexity or painstaking effort, just a little water, a little color, and a lot of emotion.” In his world, Tuan Pham doesn’t use watercolor to create ambiguity; on the contrary, he uses it to: “delimit, to define, to highlight the spiritual boundaries that are being disrupted.” Every brushstroke, every block of warm orange, bright yellow, and gentle green is meticulously “planned” by him, from concept to draft, to every color shade. These seemingly placid color masses are actually “holding the internal precariousness,” truly reflecting the artist’s inner vibrations.
Visiting the exhibition “Have You Met Tuan Pham?”, every painting, like the artwork “Consolation”, has left many viewers silent with emotion—it is a story without words, where every brushstroke gently “touches” a deep region in the viewer’s heart. Some people have burst into tears while standing before the artist’s paintings—this is a rare “phenomenon” in the contemporary exhibition space, proving the power of the artist’s simplicity, sincerity, and profound emotion.
