Kid witness news awards ceremony 2025
On August 9, 2025, Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. held the Award Ceremony for the film making program Kid Witness News 2025 with the participation of nearly 200 students, parents, teachers and artists accompanying the program.

The awards ceremony honored 16 films from the 18th season of KWN. In addition, the two KWN 2025 winners will attend the KWN Global summit, competing with top KWN filmmakers around the world later this year.
The 2025 KWN season received more than 200 scripts from more than 400 students in Hanoi and many provinces and cities across the country. The outstanding and signature activity of KWN is the filmmaking course, where more than 70 young filmmakers with the most potential scripts were selected through a direct interview round. The students had the opportunity to learn and experience the professional filmmaking process – from writing scripts, acting, filming with specialized cameras, to post-production and completing the work under the guidance of famous domestic directors and actors.

The contest received more than 200 scripts from more than 400 students in Hanoi and many provinces and cities across the country.
In addition, the students had a summer rich in learning and growing experiences through diverse and interesting activities. From going on picnics and practicing outdoor filming, to exploring traditional culture at the Hanoi Museum, trying their hand at being a reporter, all the useful experiences this summer helped them comprehensively develop essential soft skills such as the ability to work in groups and handle situations, learn from real-life observations, and at the same time nurture their love for Vietnamese culture and art.

People’s Artist Lan Huong, a member of the jury, shared: “I am very happy to have accompanied the program through 4 seasons of filmmaking. I am really impressed with the creative filmmaking mindset of the students. Although they are young, they already know how to make professional films and each film has its own beauty, from ideas to expression.”
During the journey “Through the lens of children”, besides participating in the filmmaking course, 16 groups of young filmmakers had the opportunity to learn, experience many activities, meet many interesting characters, and gain more knowledge and creative inspiration.
This year, the Gems group (Yen Hoa High School and Quang Trung High School) won First Prize in the 13-18 age group, with the film “Trao” – an emotional work that explores the theme of communication, conveying a meaningful message of sharing, love and connection between people, especially in relationships with loved ones.
In the 10-12 age group, First Prize went to the film “I am not Tich Chu” by the Little Dreamers group (Archimedes Dong Anh Inter-level School), telling the story of a boy’s change and maturity in giving love and care to his family.
